Who are we
Beyond the Image Photographers' Gallery is a unique place of opportunity in the heart of Suffolk
Established in 2005, the gallery is a not-for-profit organisation run by a group of like-minded photographers who exhibit their own work through
quarterly themed exhibitions. The gallery space also allows the group to give something back to the community in the form of guest exhibitions
in any media, photo-shoots and courses.
Situated on the beautiful Thornham Walks estate in Suffolk, a visit to the gallery can be combined with all that the estate has to offer, including
12 miles of woodland walks and a children’s play area. Refreshments are available from the Forge tea room and the Coach House restaurant.

Exhibit with us
Artists working in any medium are invited to use the gallery space to exhibit their work.
The flint wall is available to rent at a monthly rate of £100 (pro rata) and a small exhibition wall is available at £20 per month (pro rata), we do not charge
commission on sales. An opening event is encouraged and the gallery courtyard provides a perfect venue for entertaining.
The large floor area can accommodate an exhibition of sculpture or installation. The space can be used for meetings in an inspirational setting – writer’s
clubs, talks, as a place to run a weekday course or display a school art project. We love this gallery to buzz with creativity in many different ways.

We are situated on the beautiful Thornham Estate, just off the A140 midway between Ipswich and Norwich.
Turn off the A140 at the Stoke Ash White Horse pub. When you reach the Four Horseshoes pub, turn right and drive through the village of Thornham Magna.
Turn left just after the village hall and just before the parish church. You will find the entrance to the Thornham Estate (Thornham Walks) car park on the right.
A short walk from the car park (follow the signs) brings you to the gallery which is in one of the restored buildings in Red House Yards.
